Our first Book Fair of the year is happening this week!The Book Fair is open from November 5 - 7. Mrs. Allen has a fabulous team of helpers - AES retirees Connie Beardsley, Jackie Johnson, Marilyn Backman, Neila Gann - and we appreciate them taking time our of their day to help with the Book Fair.

The Book Fair is a fabulous opportunity to talk to your kids about the importance of reading every day. And for those of you who are super proactive and are already shopping for the holidays, the Book Fair is a great place to find the perfect gift or stocking stuffer. The Book Fair hours are:
Monday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Tuesday 8:00 am- 5:30 pm
Wednesday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

Our After School Program is fabulous and it's all thanks to the hard-working staff. They work together to plan interesting activities to engage the students. Not only do they work every school day but they also work during school breaks and summer. Thank you, After School Program employees!

The Bobcats had their first game of the season against the Cutten Tigers last night. The girls played hard and did a fabulous job. There was a big crowd cheering them on. Check our calendar for the next game!

The SBMS Interact Club & ASD Family Resource Center are having a Bake Sale! The money raised will be used to buy food to give to deserving families in the Arcata School
District for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Join us for the first Girls Basketball game of the season. We will be playing Cutten on Thursday, November 1 at 6:00 pm at the Sunny Brae Middle School gym.

A gigantic THANK YOU to the hard working recess duty staff for all that they do! Our recess staff are ever vigilant to catch kids doing the right thing and praising them for making good choices. They also play games, help with tetherball disagreements, assist with finding missing jackets, and mediate disagreements. The staff monitors the playground in all weather, 180 days of the school year.
